This non-profit organization had a vision for expanding their aid to a local low-income neighborhood from Saturday childcare assistance to a full-blown, seven days a week resource for the community. One of their major needs was a web site that provided volunteers and supporters with information about the organization and ways to get involved. Another major request was the ability to do site updates themselves.

All of this was accomplished with the Open Source Content Management System known as Joomla. Additional services were facilitated by Google's cloud-based Calendar application. Add a little Java script to make event photos present well and you have a very effective site!
